Topsham

Topsham was granted a Town Charter in 1300 by Edward I and its Estuary Port became an essential trading port for the city of Exeter.  It's fascinating history is well displayed in the Topsham museum, which is open from May to October and is free.

Evidence of the trading with Holland can be seen in the Dutch architecture along the Strand.
